Martin Pollock received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Winnipeg in 1981.  He received his Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 1985, and was called to the Bar in 1986. 

Martin has developed a strong litigation background, and practices primarily in the areas of Medical Malpractice and Hospital Negligence. He has a special interest in Obstetric Malpractice.

He also practices litigation in the fields of Wrongful Dismissal, Unjust Dismissal under The Canada Labour Code, Contract and Administrative Law.

Martin has represented numerous accused persons charged with Criminal Code Offences, and has represented numerous victims of Police Misconduct where police firearm use and the engagement of other force options have resulted in death, paralysis and other personal injury. 

Martin has appeared in the Manitoba Court of Appeal, all Trial Courts of Manitoba, all levels of The Federal Court and before Administrative Tribunals. 

Martin’s community involvement includes:

  • Past President of Citizens Against Inpaired Drivers (CAID).
  • Member of the “Safe” Grad Committee (1986-1989).
  • Member of the Legal Advisory Board of Success CompuCollege.
  • Member of The Board of Jewish Education and Past Chair of the Negotiations Committee.
  • Assisted with the University of Manitoba Law School Moot Court exercises in the role of Trial and Appeal Court Judge.
