Ms. Laurie A. E. Oakes graduated and received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba Law School in 2002.  She was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2003. 

Ms. Oakes articled with the Irwin Law Office in Dauphin, Manitoba. In 2003, she opened up her own general law practice in Powerview-Pine Falls, Manitoba, under the name Oakes Law Corporation in 2003.  While offering a general practice to her rural clients, her primary area of interest and focus was litigation, specifically wrongful dismissal, personal injury and medical malpractice.

Ms. Oakes joined Pollock & Company in January 2008. She currently practices primarily in the area of litigation, including class action matters, personal injury and medical malpractice,  wrongful dismissal, wills and estates and residential real estate transactions.

Ms. Oakes is a member of the Law Society of Manitoba, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Manitoba Bar Association.
